About this Episode
If you are a parent, grandparent, godparent, or spiritual parent, one of the best gifts you can give is a Bible. But not just any Bible, your Bible. The one where you’ve underlined verses, written notes in the margins, and added your prayers in the open spaces.
Start writing in your Bible with the specific intention of giving it to your son or daughter. It’s a beautiful way to share your spiritual life with your children and they will cherish it for life.
Jeff goes over some practical tips on how to mark up your Bible - check out this episode for more.
Snippet from the Show
“How will we pass on the Faith to the next generation? … Get a brand new Bible and take notes in it with your son, daughter, grandson, or niece in mind and give it to them as a record of your prayers, intentions, and hopes for them.”
SHOWNOTES
2 Peter 1:12-15 - “Therefore I intend always to remind you of these things, though you know them and are established in the truth that you have. I think it right, as long as I am in this body, to arouse you by way of reminder, since I know that the putting off of my body will be soon, as our Lord Jesus Christ showed me. And I will see to it that after my departure you may be able at any time to recall these things.”
John 14:27 - “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
